Wines
Filadonna Pinot Grigio- NV
Delle Venezie, Italy
All Pinot Grigio, all stainless steel, all fresh, and of course, all Italian. Delle Venezie is the appellation of controlled origin that represents the entire NE area of Italy and specializes in cooler weather grape varietals and wine styles. This wine is crisp, with notes of apple and pear. Fermented dry, so no residual sugars as far as the eye can see!

Baglio di Pianetto Catarratto- 2021
Sicily, Italy
Catarrato is a grape varietal indigenous to Sicily and is the most widely planted white varietal in the region. It’s most known for its straw color and vibrant jasmine and citrus nose and herbal, textured minerality. Baglio di Pianetto practices organic and sustainable farming in Palermo and I literally can’t wait to fall head over heels in love with their other wines, but I don’t know that they can top the love I have for this one! Everyone who has tried it since we got it in last week has called to express their love and order 6 bottles to a case! I’ve not really seen anything like this.

Filadonna Valpolicella Superiore-
Valpolicella, Italy
Corvina, Corvinone & Rondinella
Aged in oak for 12 months and topping out at 13.5% ABV, this estate bottled Valpo earns its Superiore status. Riccardo Tedeschi makes the Filadonna wines specifically for Vintage Wine Imports and for us in Ohio! Cool, huh? It’s got some floral components, is flush with cherries and has some other red fruits in there rounding out any tannin that would be too drying. Perfect with pizza and hard cheeses! Chocolate? Yes please, thank you.

Chateau Pay la Tour Bordeaux- 2019
79% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot
Such a dang good Bordeaux for the price. Over delivers with mature raspberry and blackberry notes that descend into licorice and spice box finish. While 2019 will live in the minds of winemakers in Bordeaux as a difficult and fraught vintage, The reviews for this wine are in, and everyone loves it.
