Pacific Northwest Wine Tasting

The Pacific Northwest is truly the up and coming region of the United States. The area has long steady growing seasons and cool temperatures that develop wines with balance, restrain and lots of acidity to make them very food friendly. Oregon is using their cool climate for very Burgundian style wines… Meaning lots of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The region does very well with high acid white wines as well like Pinot Gris. Washington on the other hand has found a niche with well balanced Cabernet Sauvignon and rich, velvety Syrah.
