I am always happy to have Ali from Dogfish Head at the growler station. Dogfish is probably most well known for their classic IPAs in the “Minute” series. 60 Minute is still one of our best selling IPAs every year. The brewery also works hard to create new styles pushing the boundaries of traditional styles without always using an extreme amount of non-traditional adjuncts. This week we are featuring some brand new releases, an a couple of unique classics.
Featured Brews:
Namaste Belgian-Style White Ale: A classic from these guys. Brewed with dried orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass, peppercorns and a bit of coriander. A very refreshing wit-bier. 4.8%ABV/20IBU
American Beauty Pale Ale: This was a collaboration concept with the Grateful Dead. Dogfish received more than 1,500 ingredient suggestions from “Dead Head’s” with granola being number one. So this is a pale ale brewed with granola, wildflower honey and all-American hops. 6.5%ABV/50IBU
The Perfect Disguise Hoppy Kolsch: The most recent release that is somewhere between a kolsch and an double IPA. Clean and crisp style with a burst of hops on the palate. Traditional German malts with a very tropical hop character. 8.0%ABV/70IBU
Wood-Aged Bitches Brew Stout: “A mix of traditional African mead and English Stout…” Aged on Palo wood instead of the more traditional oak. A ton of roasty notes with aromas of vanilla, licorice and chocolate. 9.0%ABV/38IBU
