West Side Brewing Beer Tasting

Opening their doors in 2017, they have truly exploded in popularity and have been embraced by the neighborhood. With a focus on classic beer styles and fewer adjuncts common to many craft breweries these days, West Side is making a name for themselves with Common Ales, Hefeweizen, ESB, and others. A true homage to well made European styles. Stop by the growler station to sample a flight of four beers and talk with Ben from the brewery!

Featured Brews:

Amber Ale: Traditional American Amber Ale with a smooth malt flavor with a balanced hop character from late hop additions to give a citrusy undertone. 5.3%ABV/25IBU

Red IPA: Tropical fruit aromas explode from this amber-colored ale. Dry-hopped with Ekuanot, Amarillo, and Simcoe, the hoppy, fruity aromas of pineapple and guava meld with sweet caramel malts to create a candy-like impression. 7.3%ABV/67IBU

Holiday Ale: A deep amber ale thanks to the use of three crystal malts, this festive brew has layered malt sweetness, a touch of fruitiness from Galaxy hops, and cheery holiday aroma thanks to cinnamon, ginger, and sweet orange peel. 6.4%ABV/17IBU

BBA Wee Heavy: This is a Knob Creek Bourbon Barrel aged version of their classic Wee Heavy Scottish Ale. Bourbon aroma leads into aromas of oak and sweet malts. Bourbon again leads the flavor but it is closely followed by notes of toffee, burnt sugar, and vanilla. 10.8%ABV/23IBU
