Lawn Chair Sauvignon Blanc 2023- $10.99/btl $12.50/taste
Valencia, Spain
An easy-going, crisp white that makes you want to shake the snow off the lawn chair you forgot to store for the winter, bring it inside, turn on a heat lamp and comfortably disassociate from January for a glass or two. Effortless, affordable and just plain cozy.
Les Tribordais de Loire Sauvignon Blanc 2022- $19.99/btl $2.50/taste
Touraine, Loire, France
A very different expression of Sauvignon Blanc from the first of the evening, Sauvignon Blanc from Touraine is just… ugh. So good. The Loire is quite fran(c)kly (lol, lol) quite enormous and encompasses two of France’s powerhouse Sauvignon Blanc producing regions: Touraine, in the center of the AVA and Sancerre, at the far eastern part. Touraine is known for its sandy, dry soils and propensity to produce varietals with generous weight and viscosity. This wine is lush, but also acidic and mineral-focused. Lemon pith, a touch of honey and ample green apple notes. A certified banger.
