Featured Wines:
Yalumba “The Y Series” Viognier 2020
South Australia; $11.99
170 years of vintages makes Yalumba the oldest family run winery of Australia. Now run by sixth generation Robert Hill-Smith who has played a major role in bringing the Viognier grape to Australia. The varietal shows lots of ripe citrus and floral quality, but is often known for lacking acidity. The climate of Southern Australia somehow delivers that ripe intensity while still retaining a mouth-watering acidity. Honeysuckle, ginger, and spice notes that pair perfectly with spice (Less heat, more Harissa/Gochujang friendly). – Sample $1.00
Hahn Pinot Noir 2020
Monterey, California; $13.99
Another family owned and operated winery that has helped to put their region of Monterey on the map. Started by husband-and-wife team Nicky and Gaby Hahn in 1979. Their son Philip took over in 2007 and continues as Chairman to this day. The fruit here is mainly grown in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County. Balanced acidity, bright raspberry and strawberry, and just a hint of oak. – Sample $1.00
Bodega Argento “Minimalista” Malbec 2020
Mendoza, Argentina; $7.99
A new banger under $10, let’s go!!! The focus on minimal intervention and sustainable winemaking at Argento continues in this everyday red. A fresh, and young style that is extremely easy drinking.
“Blackberry and plum aromas are solid on the nose. Plum and cassis flavors are wrapped in slightly sticky tannins on the medium-bodied palate.” Wine Enthusiast Best Buy – Sample $1.00
