Featured Wines:
1) La Crema Chardonnay 2019
Sonoma, California; $17.99
La Crema was founded in 1979 as La Crema Viñera, meaning the Best of the Vine. They have spent the last 40+ years specializing in Burgundian-style Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the cool climate regions of California and Oregon. The Sonoma Coast Chardonnay features vineyards located as far south as San Pablo Bay and stretching all the way north to Mendocino. The wine is all barrel fermented in mainly neutral oak. A small percentage of the wine sees new oak and a secondary fermentation developing a buttery quality. By blending these small portions back, it brings a lot of depth and complexity to the final wine. - Sample $1.50
2) Imagery Pinot Noir 2020
Sonoma, California; $14.99
Imagery was originally started in 1986 as a second label for the Benziger Family in Sonoma to experiment with lesser known, esoteric grape varietals. When Joe Benziger retired in 1997 he passed the Imagery label onto his daughter Jamie who has taken it to new heights. 2019 she was named to the Wine Enthusiast 40 Under 40 Tastemakers of the wine industry, and has won Women Winemaker of the Year. The Pinot Noir we are featuring is part of their newer California series. A quick four month rest in oak and then blended with a touch of Petit Verdot to add a little body and color. Well balanced with lots of strawberry, Bing cherry, and a bit of spice. - Sample $1.50
3) 7 Deadly Zins 2017
Lodi, California; $13.99
A classic Old Vine Zinfandel being produced in Lodi now for nearly twenty years. The name references the seven vineyards from which the wine was originally sourced. This label has grown to be one of the most successful Zinfandels in the United States. It is still made from dry farmed, sustainably grown, old vine Lodi Zinfandel. The wine shows lots of jammy dark fruits. Boysenberry and plum with hints of leather, cinnamon, and mocha. - Sample $1.00
4) Iron & Sand Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Paso Robles, California; $24.99
Sourced from a combination of vineyards in the San Miguel and El Pomar sub-AVAs of Paso Robles. El Pomar in the south side has more alkaline soil and a bit cooler days producing grapes with more acidity and structure, while the San Miguel is known for more sandy soils and hot days producing brighter fruitier grapes. The blend is killer with lots of fruit up front and great complexity through the finish.
“Blackberry, blueberry and chocolate on the nose. It’s full-bodied with creamy tannins. Round and velvety on the palate with a gentle structure and a bright core of fruit. Flavorful finish.” 90pts James Suckling - Sample $2.00
