This is a second label from Castelfeder Winery located in the very northeastern corner of Italy. The vineyards sourced are located in the valleys around the towns of Cortina, Magre and Salorno. Produced in all stainless steel and aged on the lees for four months to add texture. Stone fruit dominate with lots of pear and apple flavors. Added complexity from a note of minerality and a mouth watering acidity giving the wine a clean crisp finish. - Sample $1.00
2) Fattoria di Petrognano “Meme” Chianti 2017
Tuscany, Italy; $14.99
Fattoria di Petrognano is a 210 acre farm dating back to the 1700s. They currently have about 60 acres of planted vineyards, most of which is Sangiovese. The “Meme” is pretty traditional Chianti. Sangiovese mainly with a small amount of Canaiolo (an indigenous varietal) blended in. Tart cherry, anise, and notes of black tea with soft tannins. 3) Gianfranco Alessandria Barbera d'Alba 2017

Gianfranco Alessandria is a small family owned winery that with the help of his wife Bruna, and his daughter Vittoria, continues the tradition begun two generations ago. After taking over in 1986 when his father passed away, Gianfranco has slowly grown production to about four thousand cases. Situated in Monforte d'Alba, a small village in the Brolo area they manage a tiny 15 acre vineyard. The Barbera is fresh and intense fruit all the way. Loads of black cherries and currants, with a hint of violets. Soft and round. - Sample $1.50
4) Matteo Correggia Roero Nebbiolo 2016

This winery is a total family affair. Officially started by Matteo after taking over when his father passed away in 1985. In 1987 he released his first vintage of estate grown Nebbiolo. He spent the years following growing the business into a highly respected international winery representing Roero. He unfortunately passed away in 2001, but the property is still managed by his wife and children.
Baby Barolo; This is the same grape, but grown in the hillside of Roero instead of Langhe. Very dry with unique secondary flavors of leather, smoke and a bit of oak. The floral character and bright red fruit hit the nose and run through on the palate. - Sample $1.50
