Fulton Grove Wine Tasting

Fulton Grove Winery started in 2015 as a partnership between friends Bruce Murch and Brian St Clair. After many years of making wine together on the amateur level they decided to take their hobby to the next level. The winery is located in southeast Cincinnati about 2 miles east of 275 off of Ohio 125, producing about 600 cases a year. They focus on mainly dry wines working with grapes from California and Ohio, including some estate production from their small vineyard. The team has grown to include other family members and together they are helping to make a great reputation for Ohio wines.

A traditional California style Chardonnay. Completely barrel fermented including a full secondary fermentation to develop that buttery and creamy style. Light tropical fruits with a hint of citrus backed with the vanilla and spice from the barrels. - $1.25 Sample

2016 Grenache; $16.99

Sourced from a single vineyard in the Fiarplay AVA of El Dorado County in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Fermented half in barrel and half stainless steel. The resulting blend shows some depth from the oak while still retaining some vibrant fresh fruit character. Lots of bright berry fruits, florals and a bit of spice. - $1.25 Sample

2016 Cotes du Grove Rhone Style Blend; $18.99

A classic red blend style typically seen in Southern France. This was the first release of what has become one of their most popular reds. A blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. Rich dark fruit and pepper from the Syrah and the Grenache brings loads of bright red fruits. The two marry as a well rounded, complex, and balanced blend. - $1.25 Sample

201? Cabernet Sauvignon; $17.99

Endiing with a nice full-bodied Cab. Sitting at about 85% Cabernet Sauvignon they do blend a little Merlot and Petit Verdot into this to add just a it of complexity and a bold long finish. Aged about 14 months in a mixture of American and French oak. Still a touch young, you really could age this one out a few years to really see the tannin and oak settle soften and integrate. Bright plum and ripe cherry flavors with a toasty finish from the oak. - $1.25 Sample
