Kivel Stadt Cellars ‘Family Secret’ Sauvignon Blanc 2023- $21.99/btl $2.50/taste
Sonoma, California
Hailing from Lyon Vineyard in Alexander Valley, these biodynamically grown Sauvignon Blanc grapes are fermented partially in stainless steel and partially in neutral French oak with natural yeast and the barrel ferment is allowed to go through malolactic fermentation before rejoining its stainless steel comrade in the bottle. The end result is “racy” and creamy with subtle aromatics amidst focused citrus and acidity. Lovely.
Blanc les Mers Picpoul de Pinet 2022- $17.99/btl $2.50/taste
Pinet, France
100% Picpoul de Pinet, which is Picpoul, the grape, from Pinet, which is where it originated, so thusly the grape is Picpoul de Pinet and if grown elsewhere (seldom, but it does happen) would be just be ‘Picpoul’ or ‘Picpoul de Cincinnati’ or whatever… lol that’s not real… Anyways!! It’s delicious. Dry honey notes, stone fruit, absolutely hot-weather-approved.
Bruno Giacosa Dolcetto d’Alba 2021- $19.99/btl $2.50/taste
Piedmont, Italy
WE HAVE A CLOSE OUT HERE, FOLKS! Was $39.99 now $19.99. Massive banger as 2021 will no doubt go down in Piedmont history as one of the best vintages of the 21st century. Dolcetto is one of those stand-alone, transcendent varietals that once you try it- really taste a good one, sit with it and dissect it- you’ll never forget it. Known as a gateway grape, Dolcetto is often imitated and never duplicated. Barbera, please.
Poggio del Moro Riserva Chianti 2016- $27.99/btl $2.50/taste
Tuscany, Italy
We’ve done this before… but YOU GUYS! There was more 2016!!! And, well, what was I supposed to do?! Not buy it?! BARBERA, PLEASE.
