Chateau Peyredon Lagravette ‘Chardonneret’ Blanc 2021- $24.99/btl $2.50/taste
Bordeaux, France
Named for the Chardonneret bird, not the Chardonnay grape varietal! In fact, this is a unique, hand-harvested and cold-pressed blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Semillon which sees time in both French oak barrels and clay amphorae. The citrus notes on this wine are undeniable, but the nutmeg and baking spice hints are just divine!
Grange Cochard Cote du Py Morgon 2020- $24.99/btl $2.50/taste
Beaujolais, France
Gamay from the AOC of Morgon touting a deep concentration of plum and red fruit notes with black pepper and earth. A full-bodied wine with a vibrant and precise acidity, firm tannins and a long finish!
Maison Sichel Sirius Rouge 2018- $12.99/btl $2.50/taste
Bordeaux, France
Carefully selected Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes from vines as old as 30 years, vinified and oak aged as per the Bordeaux tradition, but with a slight twist. After vatting, a small percentage of grapes that underwent carbonic maceration are added into the blend before aging in French oak for 12 months. This creative process elevates the fruit component and really sets Sirius apart from its $12.99 contemporaries.
Chateau Mauvesin Barton ‘Moulis en Medoc’ Rouge 2020- $29.99/btl $2.50/taste
Bordeaux, France
54% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Ssuvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc from the clay-gravel soils of the Medoc in the northern territory of Bordeaux. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo temperature-controlled maceration and are aged 12-15 months in 1/3 new French oak barriques. The spice is nice, the fruit is perfection. It’s full, velvety and herbal. Dang good wine!
