Goichot Freres Bourgogne Aligote 2022- $21.99/btl $2.50/taste

Burgundy, France

Members of a long-standing Burgundy-producing family, these brothers are sourcing their Aligote from the Bourgogne Aligote AOC and doing a great job of it. Aligote is the only other white grape approved for the region besides Chardonnay and it offers more salinity and herbal notes than the other with strong acid and notes of apples and lemons.

A “Perpetua” blend of Barbera and Negretta that has been fermented and rested in large, neutral oak cask, constantly refilled- nearly monthly- with younger vintages of wine in perpetuity since 2003!! Driven by the continuous evolution of the earth, this wine is seriously cool.

Vino De Sed Tinto 2021- $18.99/btl $2.50/taste

Navarra, Spain

A 50/50 blend of Graciano and Garnacha, Vino de Sed is rich with texture and offers strawberry and raspberry notes which greatly compliment the darker elements of spices and chocolate with deeper tannins than one might expect of this 12% ABV bottle. One could easily envision drinking it from a canvas bag suspended from one’s neck… even if that description wasn’t illustrated on the label!
