Baglia di Pianetto, established in 1997, is a sustainable and organic winery located atop the hilly amphitheater-esque landscape of Palermo in Sicily. At just over 900 meters in elevation, the 106 hectares of vines enjoy unique climate conditions as well as very diverse soil types, all culminating in the production of beautiful, aromatic expressions of some of Sicily’s most beloved varietals.

Straw colored with floral and fruity aromas with notes of orange blossoms and green apples. Fresh and breezy, this wine could accompany any fish dish with friends, or casually reading a few books while laying on your favorite leaf, as we all do.

Frappato 2022- $14.99/btl $2.50/taste

You think there’s a rhyme or reason as to how it’s determined how many “t’s” or “p’s” or “r’s” any certain word gets in Italy? Anyways, Frappato is delicious. This expression is red-fruit-central but doesn’t skimp on the floral elements we’ve come to know Tenuta Pianetto for by now and adds in this awesome sage-y basil component and it RULES. I like to serve this wine a bit chilled.

Ghost Writer Pinot Noir 2022- $19.99/btl $2.50/taste

Willamette Valley, Oregon Pinot Noir UNDER $20?! It’s true. And it’s a tasty truth that we are grateful for. Lean and rich textured, layered strawberries and cherries combining with herbs and delicate oak notes. Very drinkable and again, it’s been a HOT minute since I’ve seen a Willamette Pinot Noir at $19.99- least not one that was good!!
