\Scarpetta Pinot Grigio 2022- $14.99/btl $2.50/taste
“Scarpetta Pinot Grigio showcases some of the best sites in Friuli-Venezia Giulia for this aromatic varietal — starting with the light, gravely soils of the Grave region. This gives it a crisp, clean minerality. Additionally, 30% of our Pinot Grigio is planted on "Ponca" soil in the Colli Orientali on steep hillsides. The combination of the Grave and Colli Orientali let us produce a wine which has body, bright acidity, and great minerality.” -admittedly stolen from website because I’m low on time.
Angels & Cowboys Rose 2023- $15.99/btl $2.50/taste
Grenache-based rose crafted using the “Provencal” method. This method involves “bleeding off” a portion of light-colored juice from the crushed red grapes and allowing that juice to ferment on its own without skin-contact. This is a relatively new winemaking style and is a by-product of the “saignee” method wherein the pale juice was bleed off to allow the tank fermentation to have a higher skin to juice ratio and creating a more concentrated wine. Oh and this is from California.
