Wines

Villarini Grillo- $14.99/btl $2.50/taste

Sicily, Italy

This fruity white wine showcases the indigenous to Sicily grape Grillo just perfectly! Stone fruits and hints of melon with delicate herbal notes, throughout. Villarini is proudly biodynamic in viticulture and vegan-friendly in winemaking. Dang fine glass of wine!

Toutalga Vinho Regional- $8.99/btl $2.50/taste

Alentejano, Portugal

A blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Syrah, destemmed and allowed to ferment naturally with a 10-12-day cool skin-contact alcoholic maceration. Intense aroma with floral and herbal notes and a touch of vanilla and a long, very complimentary finish. This is the perfect “what can I bring to the party?” wine and we love it for that!

Runquist 1448- $18.99/btl $2.50/taste

Sierra Nevada, California

Jeff Runquist is a maniac and 1448 has vintage over vintage proven that statement. 2022 seems to have been the year that he toned this banger blend down a bit because I can remember vintages where the blend exceeded 12 varietals… which is a lot, lol. Essentially this wine is a blend of many wines from throughout California and is entirely based on just how Jeff is feeling that day! This one is Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Tannat, Teroldego, Sangiovese and Souzao. Insane? Yes. Intriguing? Yep. Good? Definitely.

Barnard Griffin Syrah- $19.99/btl $2.50/taste

Columbia Valley, Washington

This is my favorite of the wines from Barnard Griffin, and made of 100% Syrah from the Waluke Slope… which is my favorite Washington AVA! This wine is a no-brainer. Delicious, just earthy enough. Smooth yet tannic-ly textured. The thought that goes into this wine is low-key mind-blowing. Get this: 40% is aged for 18 months in French barrique (250L) 10% of that spends that time in barrels that have only been used once and the other 30% spends its time in neutral barrique barrels. THEN the other (are you following me?) 60% spends its 18-month sentence in LARGE format oak tanks. Cool? Yep, that’s winemaking!
