~Wines~
This week we’re going to walk through 3 wines from Oregon winery A to Z Wineworks. Started in 2002 by Oregon wine industry titans from Eyrie, Domaine Drouhin (Oregon), Archery Summit and Chehalem wineries, their goal being to create affordable wines by making single varietal cuvees from grapes from all across Oregon and the Willamette Valley. A to Z focuses on the three main varietals grown in Oregon, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as also producing sparkling wines and rose. All three of the wines we’ll be tasting have been touted Best Buys and Top 100 wines nearly every year by Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator and just about every other major wine-related media. All of these wines are affordable and clean and undoubtably made under the supervision of some of the most experienced winemakers in Oregon.
Oregon Pinot Gris- 2022

Oregon Chardonnay- 2021

Oregon Pinot Noir- 2021
Pinot Noir from over… ahem… 70… SEVENTY vineyards. Fermented and aged separately. Blended. Well integrated, layered nuances with ginger, berries, sandalwood and chocolate notes.

Silk & Spice- 2021
A Portuguese red blend made from Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Baga, Syrah and Tinta Roriz; which are harvested by variety, but co-fermented, as is the way of Portugal.
