Featured Wines:
A to Z Pinot Gris 2021
Oregon; $14.99
A to Z is the creation of two powerhouse wine couples of the Pacific Northwest. Deb (Eyrie) and Bill Hatcher (Domaine Drouhin), Sam Tannahill (Archery Summit), and Cheryl Francis (Chehalem). The first vintage was just a Pinot Noir that was named Best American Pinot Noir Under $20 by Food & Wine Magazine. The Pinot Gris has seen its own share of accolades with this vintage receiving another Editors’ Choice award from Wine Enthusiast. It has a remarkable complexity that comes from more than 30 vineyards throughout Oregon.
“Loaded with flavors of freshly cut pears, this young and vibrant wine has no pretensions to be anything more than delicious. It's clean and fruity, with balanced acidity and a hint of minerality. Remarkably versatile, make this one of your every day or weeknight white wine options.” 90pts Wine Enthusiast – Sample $1.50
A to Z Pinot Noir 2018
Oregon; $19.99
Like the Pinot Gris, the Pinot Noir is sourced from numerous vineyards throughout Oregon. A light oak treatment rounds it out and softens the edges. Florals like violets and roses are layered with juicy bright red fruits. – Sample $2.00
Domaine de Fontsainte Corbbieres Rouge 2020
Languedoc-Roussillon, France; $16.99
This is another slam dunk from renowned French wine importer, Kermit Lynch. The Domaine is now managed by second generation Bruno Laboucarie who continues his father’s vision for the property. The rouge drinks like a dark Beaujolais. Primarily Carignan from vines planted in 1950, blended with Grenache and Syrah rounds things out with lots of fruit and depth. Lots of florals and chewy black fruits. – Sample $1.50
ULTRAVIOLET Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
California; $16.99
Ultraviolet is the new wine label from Samantha Sheehan. With her first label POE she worked to bring Old World styles to California, while Ultraviolet is all about showcasing the sunny vineyards of the New World. The Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in three separate vineyards in the Red Hills AVA in Lake County. She does blend about 5% Cabernet Franc from her vineyards in Coombsville just to round the wine out. Ten months in French oak results in a rich an velvety wine with lots of dark and blue fruits. – Sample $1.50
