1) Daisy Pinot Grigio 2020
Columbia Valley, Washington; $12.99
Charles Bieler, perhaps more well known for his family’s estate Bieler Pere Et Fils in Provence decided to branch out to Washington State after working along side Charles Smith (Charles & Charles) for many years. His Pinot Grigio is everything I want in a white wine. He sneaks a touch of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Moscato into the fermenter with the Pinot Grigio giving it an explosive aroma. Juicy tropical fruit, grapefruit and honeysuckle jump out of the glass. Crisp and refreshing! - Sample $1.00
2) Giunta Malbec Nouveau 2020
Hawkes Bay, New Zealand; $15.99
This is a Malbec like you have never had before… This is an extremely unique production from Philly native turned New Zealand winemaker Daniel Brennan. This is produced with no oak influence, in a much lighter and fresh tasting style. Branded “Nouveau” with the intension that it should be consumed very young. We have even decided to serve this red with a slight chill on it, adding to that bright freshness. A light body, and easy finish with aromas of wild berries, and violets. - Sample $1.50
3) Domaine de L’Hortus La Loup dans la Bergerie 2019
Languedoc, France; $13.99
Started in 1978 by husband and wife Jean and Marie-Thérèse Orliac. Originally they sold all of their grapes off to a co-op before producing their first bottling in 1990. A true family affair with their four children now sharing in the management of the estate. La Loup dans la Bergerie rouge is a balanced medium-bodied blend of Grenache and Syrah. Notes of strawberry and raspberry from the Grenache, with the Syrah playing a supporting role adding tobacco, pepper and spice. - Sample $1.00
4) Kate Arnold Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Columbia Valley, Washington; $19.99
We are finishing up this flight with a big bold Cabernet from Kate Arnold. Sourced from Lawrence Family and Four Feathers Vineyards in Columbia Valley. Excellent structure with great balance, showcasing the potential of Washington Cabernet. Not just a fruit bomb. The nose has hints of licorice, menthol, and spice. It hits the palate with blackberry and cherry, but finishes with dark chocolate. - Sample $2.00
