Featured Wines:

CADE Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Napa Valley, California; $14.99 WAS $37.99 SAVE $23!!!

CADE was created by partners Gavin Newsom, Gordon Getty and John Conover in 2005. Their goal was to create a complementary estate to their famed original winery, PlumpJack. With PlumpJack focusing on valley floor fruit in the Oakville region of Napa, CADE was meant to showcase the higher altitude of Howell Mountain.

The wine is produced in a combination of small concrete eggs, stainless steel and a very small amount of oak. Blended with just a hint of Semillon and Viognier, which just produces an incredible amount of complexity. The wine has aromas of lemon zest, peaches, grapefruit, orange blossoms and white flowers. A bit of minerality but a wonderful crisp acidity which I find many California Sauvignon Blancs lacking. The oak just adds enough cream/vanilla notes to make me think of lemon meringue through the finish. - $1.50 Sample

Domaine Lafage “Cuvee Nicolas” Grenache 2017

Roussillon, France; $9.99 WAS $16.99 SAVE $7!!!

I have no idea why the distributor decided to close this wine out. It is a super fresh release as a 2017 and just received a 93pt rating from Robert Parker. This is produced from 65 year old Grenache vines planted in the foothills of the Pyrenees in southern France. Started by husband and wife team of Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage. The Cuvee Nicolas is named after their son. The wine is aged in French oak for about 10 months. Fine tannins with lots of fruit. Notes of black raspberry and crushed violets. - $1.00 Sample

Cascina Ca'Rossa Roero Mompissano Riserva 2011

Piedmont, Italy; $14.99 WAS $29.99 SAVE $15!!!

We are up in the north western corner of Italy where Nebbiolo is the king of red wine. The common grape varietal found in Barolo, Barbaresco, and at a more reasonable price in the hills of Langhe. Ca'Rossa is located in Roero just north of those more well known regions and offers another perfect location for growing Nebbiolo. Super dry and earthy.

“Aromas of wild berry, spice, aromatic herb, leather and a balsamic note are some of the aromas you'll discover on this firm red. The structured, savory palate offers mature black raspberry, sour cherry, black pepper, aniseed and mint alongside youthfully assertive polished tannins.” 92pts Wine Enthusiast - $1.50 Sample

ReNacer “Milamore” 2015

Mendoza, Argentina; $12.99 WAS $27.99 SAVE $15!!!

One of the most popular wine styles in the world is that of Amarone. Amarone utilizes a unique style of wine making where they dry the grapes before making the wine truly intensifying the flavor. Under the guidance of Italian wine consultant Alberto Antonini the Milamore wine combines this classic winemaking technique with the grapes of Argentina. The blend is mainly Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon with some Bonarda and Cabernet Franc. The resulting wine shows lots of dried fruit flavors with notes of raisins and dates. I get hints of licorice and a bit of spice with just an incredibly silky soft finish. - $1.00 Sample
