Three new wines for the shelves and a great buy on a Pinot Noir, perfect for the Thanksgiving table. Mr. Purdy from Wine Trends will be pouring behind the bar and answering questions about these lovely wines. Starting off with one of the best California Chardonnays I have had in a long time. Hess's single vineyard Napa Valley Collection. I was also blown away with the two red blends we are featuring. Totally different wine styles, but both are unique blends for California. The first is inspired by Tuscan red blends by the Carano family, and the second is influenced by the wines of Northern Spain.

Featured Wines:
2016 Hess Collection Napa Valley Estate Chardonnay; $19.99
Napa Valley, California
Produced entirely from their Su'skol Estate vineyard this is a very balanced Chardonnay. They grow a variety of different clones to push fresh and fruity aromatics with just a little French Oak influence. A small portion of the wine undergoes secondary fermentation (creating those buttery and creamy notes) that is then blended back to the rest of the wine. This production style retains big aromas of apples, white pear, honeysuckle, and light tropical fruits. - $1.50 Sample
2014 Le Charmel Pinot Noir; CLOSE-OUT! $6.99 / WAS $11.99 / SAVE $5
Languedoc-Rousillon, France
This is the second closeout we have received from Le Charmel. The previous being an absolutely delicious Rose we had last year. Started by father-son partnership of Charlie and Mel Master, the Le Charmel Pinot is produced from 100% sustainably farmed vineyards in the Pays d'Oc IGP in the South of France.
“...scents of red and black berries mixed with floral notes, together with hints of delicate spices and vanilla. On the palate, it displays aromas of crushed black fruits such as raspberries, black currants, cherries and black-cherry jam. This wine is complex, rich and long with well integrated tannins.” - $0.50 Sample
2015 Ferrari-Carano “Siena” Red Blend; $17.99
Sonoma County; California
Sangiovese / Malbec / Petite Sirah / Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2015 celebrates the 25th Anniversary of this blend. This was part of the Carano families attempt to combine their Italian heritage with the new world wines of California. They brought together the king of Italian reds, Sangiovese with traditional French varietals that have thrived for them in Sonoma. Similar to a Super Tuscan style.
“Siena has delicious aromas of raspberry jam, bacon, maple, leather and cardamom spice. Flavors of sweet plums and cherries are followed by graham cracker with more plum on the finish. Siena has supple tannins and a balanced mouthfeel with lively elegance and depth.” - $1.50 Sample
2015 Tinto Rey Super Tinto; $18.99
Dunnigan Hills, California
Tempranillo / Petit Verdot / Tannat / Graciano
Tinto Rey is a series of wines from Matchbook Cellars that embraces the Mediterranean style of climate found in Dunnigan Hills. This area is among one of the best in the United States to grow Spanish varietals, like the Tempranillo found in this blend. Their estate grows the Tinta de Toro Tempranillo clone found in northern Spain. The blend here creates a very fruit forward bold style with loads of black cherry and spice. Aged for 30 months in a mixture of French and American oak, the barrels bring a nice creamy vanilla, with a touch of smoke. It is a very velvety, rich, and lush wine. - $1.50 Sample
