Fall Favorites Wine Tasting

Enjoy four wines perfect for fall weather and food. $5 for the flight. Starting with a wonderful floral viognier that will pair great with roasted squash, or your Thanksgiving table. We follow that with three rich reds.

Featured Wines:

2017 Yalumba “Y Series” Viognier

South Australia, Australia; $11.99

Five generations and 169 years in business. Yalumba is the oldest family owned winery in Australia. They now have vineyards throughout much of the South Australia wine region and are the only winery in the southern hemisphere to have its very own cooperage.

This Viognier is wild fermented and aged on the lees resulting in a rich silky wine with an incredible freshness. Vibrant aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine mingle with flavors of grapefruit and apricot. - $1.00 Sample

2016 Elouan Pinot Noir

Oregon; $19.99

Produced by the world famous Wagner family… Famous for Caymus, Conundrum, and starting Meiomi. This 100% Pinot Noir is a blend of fruit from Willamette, Umpqua and Rogue Valleys. Made in a very “Wagner” style. Meaning lots of dense juicy fruit, a rather bold wine for a Pinot Noir.

Rich, dark and intense fruit flavors take top billing in this 2016 Elouan Pinot Noir, a wine that beautifully reflects the warm and dry growing season. Dark ruby in color, the wine powers up with aromatics of plum pie, mixed-berry jam and smoky, game-bird characteristics that set the stage for flavors of cherry, blackberry, boysenberry and smoked bacon. The balance is excellent, with solid structure, superb depth and concentration, rich tannins, and a nice smoky, earthy finish.” - $1.50 Sample

2014 Bonny Doon A Proper Claret

California; $9.99 - Was $14.99/Save $5!

A very unique blend of 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Petit Verdot, 22% Tannat, 9% Syrah, 7% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and a splash of Petite Sirah. This was actually recommended to us by a customer and well we loved it too. Produced by Bonny Doon in the Santa Cruz area of Northern California. They are known for focusing on mainly Rhone varietals and other lesser known grapes and in their words are “a strictly cabernet-free zone.” This is now the only wine they make that contains Cabernet, and they wanted to produce a California blend they would be happy to drink. Not over ripe, over extracted or over oaked. Balance...

A balanced and rich red with plum and spice character. Hints of dried fruits and dried meat. Medium to full body, round and soft tannins and a delicious finish.” 90pts James Suckling - $1.00 Sample

2015 Bogle Phantom

California; $19.99

One of my favorite releases every year. It gets released by Bogle at the beginning of every Fall. It was one of the first “Dark” style red blends made that was heavy in Petite Sirah. Typically a blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot the grapes work well to create a complex wine. Big juicy deep, dark fruit flavors from the Petite Sirah, some pepper and jammy red fruits from the Zinfandel, and structure and depth from the Bordeaux varietals. Framed with lots of spices and toasty vanilla from being aged two years in barrel. - $1.50 Sample
