During our travels to Oregon we visited Domaine Drouhin and did a very unique wine tasting. Our goal is re-create this experience for you best we can.
The famous Maison Joseph Drouhin winery was founded in 1880 in Burgundy France. The Drouhin family, led my Robert Drouhin at the time, decided they wanted to build a winery in the US. They wanted to find a location where they could best grow their world famous Pinot Nor and Chardonnay. So in 1980, they decided on the Willamette Valley in Oregon and Robert sent his daughter Véronique Boss-Drouhin (the fourth generation Drouhin) to run the Oregon operation. She continues on today as the head winemaker of Domaine Drouhin.
Just like when we were in Oregon we are going to taste the Chardonnay of Domaine Drouhin vs. The White Burgundy (Chardonnay) of Joseph Drouhin.
