Wines

Wild Nature is a winery located in both the Verona and Venice provinces and, as a project, is heavily focused on terroir and mindfulness for nature. Biodiversity, organics and the animals that inhabit the vineyards and properties have very much been the backbone of Wild Nature since forming in 1974.

Pinot Grigio- $14.99/btl $2.50/taste

Crisp, with aromas of pear and white flowers. Gentle minerality from the vineyard’s proximity to the Venetian Sea is prominent in the finish and begs another sip.

Veneto Bianco- $19.99/btl $2.50/taste

Kinda bianco? Sure! This is technically an “orange” wine but could also be a “ramato” but, it has Chardonnay in it… So… It’s Veneto Bianco! (NOT A ROSE) Pinot Grigio has red skin and white juice, so if you allow the juice to sit on the skins for four months during alcoholic fermentation, it turns pinky! And then they add Chardonnay… Which really does some magic here making a stable and ageable wine with grippy texture and long, lean fruit notes.

Chapeau Melon VDF Rouge- $14.99/btl $2.50/taste

A blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir from winemaker Jeremy Huchet who famously produces Muscadet in his top-tier plots around Nantes in France. Sad, sad story… But his Muscadet parcels failed this vintage (2021) and he had to reach deep within himself and the community of winemakers and he came back with Gamay and Pinot Noir! And you know what they say “When life gives you Gamay and Pinot, make a great little wine with soft tannins and elements of sandalwood and cherries with a light vanilla finish.”

G.D. Vajra Langhe Rosso- $18.99/btl $2.50/taste

G.D. Vajra makes GD DELICIOUS wines! This is predominantly a blend of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera but also has Freisa, Albarossa and even a little Pinot Noir. A GD heck of a blend! Slow ripening in 2022 allowed the grapes to take on more of the Langhe terroir and gives us this beautifully nuanced red wine with hints of tobacco and hay balanced with summer fruits and flowers. Does G.D. Vajra make good wines? You’re GD RIGHT they do!
